We combine swimming with fitness to provide our athletes with the right conditioning and strength necessary. Our fitness classes are expertly designed to combine a mix of functional fitness, cardio-based workouts and strengthening workouts.
We follow the CrossFit medthodolgy, and we also offer fitness classes specifically designed to enhance the swimmers' performance in the water.
DRYLAND: This class is designed to help all swimmers get more control of their body in the water by training it to the max on land. It also aims to prevent any injuries resulting from increased swimming loads. One of the benefits of weight strength training for swimmers is that it increases bone density. Swimmers have a tendency to have low bone density because they spend the majority of their training in the pool. Dryland training and weight training exercises stimulate bone tissue to develop.
WHO CAN ATTEND: Swimming specific, all swimmers of all levels are welcome. All fitness levels too.
FITBURN: If you are looking for a class to help you get back in there and staring moving in a correct functional way, then FitBurn is the class for you. We work heavily on the fundamentals, combining strength, cardio & HIIT to make you stronger and fitter than you ever were!
WHO CAN ATTEND: All fitness levels are welcome! Workout can be ramped up or down to suit every level.
MOBILITY: Mobility & flexibility training can help reduce muscle soreness which results in feeling of increased muscle control, flexibility, and range of motion. Increasing flexibility through stretching has also shown to have several positive effects, including: lowering blood pressure, reducing back pain and chronic joint pain. This class will allow the muscles to move in a full range of motion and will help you reduce the risk of injuries
WHO CAN ATTEND: Everyone is welcome. Perfect for swimmers & triathletes
CIRCUIT TRAINING: Fast paced, exciting 1 hour session that is guaranteed to get your heart rate up and strengthen your muscles at the same time. Moderate to high intensity activity that is performed for an allocated duration. that will aid in burning excess body fat, developing lean muscle tissue and improving cardiovascular and muscular endurance.
